What a night! The Ormiston College delivered even more than it promised at this year’s Art Show.
The Wearable Art Parade was alive with artworks made from living plants, lights and even plumber’s foam. The winner of ‘The Walsh’ and Senior Section was Year 11 student, Isabella Thaesler. The winner of the Middle School section was Charlotte Lane.
At least one artwork by every Visual Art student from the Early Learning Centre to Year 12 was proudly showcased.
Visitors enjoyed creating Germ Brooches and leaves for the Future Vine. They could see hands, fingers, rainbows and electricity growing in the Green House, an installation created by the Art Club students to make our invisible future, visible. The Photo Booth was busy with guests having their photos taken with the Wearable artists. I thank all of the artists, staff, students and parent helpers who worked so hard (and had heaps of fun) to make this night such a success.
