Ormiston College choir members perform in State Honours Ensemble Program, Griffith University

Junior Shep

Ormiston College Junior School choir students from Year 4 and Year 5 represented the College at this year’s Primary SHEP (State Honours Ensemble Program) on 30 November and 1 December. They joined ensembles of over 100 students, singing songs from around the world, songs from across time, and in particular, songs by renowned Australian composers.

Griffith University’s proud tradition of music excellence allowed our students the opportunity to work with conductors Ms Kate Albury and Ms Joanne Wright in a harrowing day of rehearsal of Saturday culminating in a superb concert for family and friends on Sunday.

“This is the best choir ever!” one student commented. “I’ll definitely come back again!” Parents had overwhelming appreciation for the experience and we are very grateful for Griffith University for providing this musical extension for our deserving students.
