Some of our Middle School students did the College proud recently when they competed in the da Vinci Decathlon at A.B. Paterson College. The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students.
Run in the spirit of an Olympic Decathlon, students compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, philosophy, creative producers, cartography and general knowledge.
Our students approached all tasks with enthusiasm and concentration and their efforts certainly paid off. The Year 7s placed second in Code Breaking and Engineering; the Year 8B team placed first in Cartography (combined Year 7/8 team); the Year 8A team placed second in English and third in Engineering; and the Year 9 team placed first in Art and Poetry and third in Code Breaking.
Congratulations to all our competitors for a job well done!
