The 2019 Social Justice Project

This year the Social Justice Committee are focusing support for the Redlands Community Centre program ‘Homeless United’. The support gained from Ormiston College will go towards making a positive difference to the homeless youth in Redlands.

The Homeless United program has been operating since July 2017 with 146 people accessing the service. The age group ranges from 15 years old to 80 years old. The funds raised through the initiative will go towards courses such as but not limited to hospitality, horticulture, administration, and food handling. Our target is $7000.

By supporting the Social Justice fundraising events you are gifting our youth homeless priceless ‘opportunities’ and ‘choices’ enabling them to break the cycle and live happy, safe, for filling lives.

The Social Justice Team are kick starting our fundraising efforts with ‘Coin Rush’. Over Weeks 5 and 6 (during Term 1) each Form Class is encouraged to donate towards the cause by putting money in your Form Class tub. The generosity of the Form Class that raises the most will be rewarded with a 5 kilo box of Cadbury Favorites chocolates!

So please dig deep for this very worthy cause!
