The work of Toby Lyons in Year 12 was recently selected for exhibition in the prestigious Creative Generations Excellence in Visual Art Awards.
Toby explored his identity and how it is shaped by technology. He created a self-portrait by appropriating the work of Pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein, and substituting Benday dots (the name of the dots traditionally used to print newspapers and magazines) with ‘Application Icons’. Toby’s artwork was exhibited on the Gold Coast at A.B. Paterson College.
The work will be on display for all family and friends to enjoy at the Ormiston College Art Show, which opens on November 2.
