On the Wednesday 30 October, our Year 12 students took part in the annual Tree Planting event.
A tradition of the College dating back to 1995, whereby graduating students have the opportunity to leave their personal imprint upon the campus. Ground Staff select an area that will most enhance the College grounds, this year being under the fig tree, adjacent to a well-known school image, the Mushroom.
Our Year 12 students assembled in the Junior Art Centre for a speech from Lee Catterall, Deputy Head of College, prior to approaching the garden area that had been prepared by the Ground Staff. Each Form Class planted approximately eight plants which will become a reminder to our graduating students on any future occasion, when they return to the College as an OC Alumni.
